Alumni Sunset Cruise
Join Delaware Tech alumni, College leaders, Board of Trustees, and friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023 for an evening sunset cruise on the Delaware Bay.
Enjoy music from The Funsters while reconnecting with your classmates and meeting new friends. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. Cruise departs from the Cape May Lewes Ferry in Lewes, DE. Hosted by College President, Mark Brainard '81.
Delaware Tech alumni are FREE and may bring one guest for $25.
- 5:30 p.m. Boarding begins at the Lewes terminal*
- 6:45 p.m. Ferry departs from the Lewes terminal
- 9:00 p.m. Ferry returns to the Lewes terminal
- 9:30 p.m. Event ends

* Pre-registration is required; there will be no walk-up registration for this event. Boarding ends promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Yes – ages 21 and above.
No little skippers for this event, adults age 21 and over only.
There is no charge for alcoholic beverages, be sure to drink responsibly.
The Captain will decide if the vessel will sail based on weather. In the event of inclement weather, the event will remain at port with all activities taking place dockside.
At check-in, guests with limited mobility will be directed to board using the skywalk to gain access to the second and third decks for duration of the event. While food and beverage will be available, the majority of the event activities will be hosted on the car deck which is only accessible by stairs.
Transportation is not provided by the College, to or from, this event.
To access the terminal parking lot in Lewes, utilize the second entrance on Cape Henlopen Drive. Please note, this is not the toll booth entrance; this entrance is marked with a blue sign that says, "Foot Passenger Parking Lot." Signs will be posted for parking.
No. We suggest "cruise casual.” Flat soled shoes are best to keep your sea legs steady. Be sure to bring a jacket or sweater in the event there is a chill. And of course, Delaware Tech swag is encouraged.
No. All alumni and their guests must be pre-registered. In the event you "missed the boat" we will see you in 2024.
Heavy hors d'oeuvres, will be served at no cost. Heavy hors d'oeuvres is neither light fare nor dinner, just enough to fill you up and give you time to mingle with your fellow alumni.
Weather permitting, the Captain will sail the vessel along the Delaware Bay.
Exciting musical entertainment will be provided by The Funsters!

Aboard the vessel, please exercise caution. Watch your step as you go in and out of the doors, as each door has a high door sill. Use handrails to help keep your balance while the vessel is in motion.
